JAMES P. BRUNO
Partner
James Bruno’s practice is focused on commercial transactions and real estate development/redevelopment. In that capacity, he has been involved with numerous redevelopment projects in various municipalities. These include projects along waterfront and wetland areas and projects involving the reclamation of former landfill sites.
As part of his practice, Jim has amassed extensive experience in pollution remediation matters, including compliance with the Industrial Site Recovery Act (“ISRA”). He has assisted numerous businesses in remediating pollution at their sites, and has coordinated cleanup of abandoned industrial “brownfield” properties, many of which he then helped clients convert to commercial or residential use.
His transaction practice involves negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, leases and financing documents for industrial, office, retail and multi-family property owners. Jim also handles general transaction and contract work for other businesses and institutions. He is a frequent lecturer on real estate and environmental law topics.
